Odisha to Host Men's Junior Hockey World Cup From November 24 to December 5
The Kalinga Stadium here will host the FIH Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup-2021 from November 24 – December 5, 2021.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced that Odisha will host the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup 2021, scheduled from November 24 to December 5, at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

Addressing an event here on Thursday, Naveen said, recently Hockey India had approached the State Government to support them for the Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup which is to be held in two months time.

Naveen said, “It’s a short notice for arrangements for such an event, especially during the pandemic period. Since the country’s prestige is at stake, we have readily agreed to support. I am happy to announce that Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar will be hosting the FIH Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup.”

On the occasion, Naveen unveiled the logo and trophy of the event – FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup Bhubaneswar 2021, in the presence of International Hockey Federation (FIH) President, Narinder Batra. “There is a lot of excitement about the prospects of Indian Hockey in coming years. The Hockey World Cup in January 2023 will be a landmark event and provide further momentum for Hockey development in the country.”

“Odisha will continue to be a part of the journey of Indian hockey. We have already announced that we would support the Indian National Team for another 10 years,” CM said. FIH President Narinder Batra said Bhubaneswar is the Sport city of India. Beautiful facilities are avail here with outstanding supports of Odisha government and Odisha people said Batra.
