Malaika Arora, Mini Mathur Come Together With OG VJs From the '90s For An Epic Photo; See Here

Malaika Arora delighted her fans with a nostalgic trip down memory lane by posting pictures with her MTV friends, which featured her sister Amrita Arora, Mini Mathur, Cyrus Sahukar, Anusha Dandekar, Cyrus Boracha, Shenaz Treasury, Preeta Sukhtankar, Maria Goretti, and more. Their gathering was dubbed the “ultimate reunion,” although Gaurav Kapoor, who initially began his career as a VJ for Channel V, jokingly played the role of an “intruder” in the memorable get together.

Sharing a group picture from the reunion, Malaika wrote on Instagram, “The greatest union of all time… how blessed am I to have worked on the same channel as these talented souls! Thank you for the best day! Posting this picture with so many others.” Shehnaz, now a travel vlogger, also posted photos and videos from the get-together with her past colleagues, inviting her social media followers to identify the ‘OG VJs.’

Shehnaz captioned her post, “An afternoon well spent! Anyone remember the OG VJs?? Recognise anyone here? ;),” In one of the videos, Anusha Dandekar can be seen cutting a cake that reads, “OGs + GK MTV Enjoy.” Mini Mathur, who has hosted shows like Indian Idol, shared a photo which had Malaika, Cyrus Broacha, Cyrus Sahukar, Shenaz and Mini pouting and posing.

Rannvijay Singha, who hosted quite a few popular shows for MTV, too commented on the photos. He wrote, “These guys were the coolest.”

In the 90s, Malaika Arora, Cyrus Broacha, and Mini Mathur played pivotal roles as pioneers of video jockeying on Indian television during the launch of MTV in India. Malaika and Cyrus co-hosted shows such as Love Line and Style Check, while Cyrus Sahukar and Cyrus Broacha entertained audiences with their comedic pranks on MTV Bakra. Cyrus, not long back, was seen on Bigg Boss OTT 2 as a contestant.
