'Naanu Matthu Gunda 2 Likely To Release In April': Director Raghu Haasan
Raghu Haasan added that as of now, the majority of the shooting for the film has been completed but Rakesh Adiga and Rachana Inder are yet to shoot some scenes.

Kannada film Naanu Matthu Gunda, directed by Srinivas Thimmaiah, was released on January 24, 2020. Produced by Poem Pictures, the film featured a prominent Labrador character, portraying a beautiful bond between a dog and a man. Given the warm response that the comedy film received, its sequel was announced last year. Recently, the director of Naanu Matthu Gunda 2, Raghu Haasan shared some updates about the film.

Speaking to News18 Kannada Digital, Raghu Haasan shared the cast has been kept a secret but Rachana Inder, popular for her role in Love Mocktail, will portray the female protagonist in the film. Meanwhile, Rakesh Adiga will be playing the male lead. The director shared that Rachana will be essaying the role of Indu in the film who is good-looking and kind-hearted.

Raghu Haasan added that as of now, the majority of the shooting for the film has been completed but Rakesh Adiga and Rachana Inder are yet to shoot some scenes. According to the director, the shoot lasted for a few weeks and he will now be indulged in post-production work. Speaking about the release plans, Raghu shared that the film is likely to be released in April.

The sequel will feature songs composed by RP Patnaik and a background score by Ritwik Muralidhar. Additionally, the dialogue of the film has been written by Rohit, Rama and Tanvik G, while V Nagendra Prasad penned the lyrics.

Rachana Inder has previously been part of multi-starrer films. She played the solo female lead in Shashank’s Love 360. Reflecting on her journey in one of her interviews, the actress even expressed she did not bother whether she was the sole heroine in a film or not when she entered the industry. The actress is known for her films including Love 360 and other projects like Love Mocktail and Tribble Riding.

Raghu, in a previous interview, shared that the first part of the movie featured the strong bond between Hero Shivraj KR Pete and the dog, Goon. The movie was well-received by the audience and earned a significant amount at the box office.
